The school is characterized by a belief in child-lead learning. Your child determines what to learn by selecting and initiating their own activities from a variety of art and play-based learning centers. Teachers carefully prepare these centers with activities that spark the natural curiosity of children and deepen the understanding of whatever task they are immersed in. This method of education is based on hands-on learning, collaborative play, and cooperation. The children work independently or in-group to explore knowledge and develop their fullest potential.

CCB offers an exciting summer full of camps like Musical Theater Camps, Junior Dance Intensive and the Fairies and Pirates Camps! Northern Colorado’s leading dance school since 1979, CCB has set the standard for classical and contemporary dance education and performance. Our school offers dance instruction for all ages in all styles, providing young dancers with the opportunity to learn discipline, strength, and commitment, as well as train for a professional career in dance, or use those skills in many other ways.

In addition to core subjects such as mathematics, science, and social studies, Immanuel Lutheran School offers instruction in Bible, technology, music, art, physical education, and library courses for all elementary school students. Students are also engaged in reading, writing, spelling, and grammar skills on a daily basis.

Immanuel has a multi-grade classroom format. Multi-level classrooms have many benefits both socially and academically. Socially, younger children will look to older students for guidance while the older students organically learn about mentoring, leadership, and collaboration. In addition, students in a multi-grade classroom tend to be less competitive with one another and more cooperative in their learning and behaviors. Academically, this structure allows students to excel while learning at their developmental level.

Using differentiated instruction, teachers design whole and small group activities to address varying student strengths, needs, and interests while meeting state standards of education for each grade level. In our classrooms, the main focus continues to be the learning needs of all students. STEM:  Our STEM-based curriculum uses a hands-on, systematic approach to teach science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics while developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills.  Our curriculum is based on research that proves children learn best through repetition and practice.  Therefore, math, science, and language concepts are reintroduced every six weeks as students continually build upon prior knowledge.

Due to COVID-19, we have paused our other enrichments.   We receive our guidance from the health department.  As soon as we are able to have outside enrichments join our community we offer the following:

Part Time Faith based Preschool program for children ages 2.5 to 5 years old

We tutor Pre-K through College Admissions in Reading, Writing, Math, SAT/ACT Prep, dyslexia, and more. We are also offering a pre-K through K class this summer to enhance letters, phonemic awareness, phonics and the love of reading.

We specialize in tutoring students of all ages and abilities: ranging from Pre-K through College Level.

We offer Spanish lessons from preschoolers to adults. We have small and big groups, private classes, Spanish for preschools, enrichment program before and after school, Spanish for Adults, Spanish literacy for Hispanic children and more.
