"Offering Preschool through 8th grade.

Preschool to middle school private education

Our Terrific 3's class is a child's first introduction to preschool. We focus on socialization, sharing, and getting along with others. We work to develop fine motor skills, have a joyful outlook on school, and a love of Jesus. The class meets two days a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:15–10:45 a.m. Children must be 3 years old prior to September 15th.

Our Fantastic 4's class learns about shapes, numbers, and will be exposed to the alphabet through fun and hands-on learning. We will prepare for Kindergarten by practicing our listening skills, extending our attention span, and developing our fine motor skills. The class meets three days a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:15–10:45 a.m. Children must be 4 years old prior to September 15th.

Our Fabulous 5's class is an expansion of the 4-year-old class. Children in this class cover all the same topics, but with more in-depth activities and more hands-on experiences, along with further exploration of letters and numbers. The class meets four days a week, Monday through Thursday. Class is from 12:30–3:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and from 11:45 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Children must be 5 years old prior to September 15th and/or have attended preschool before. Admission to the Fabulous 5's will be determined by the director.

Immanuel has a multi-grade classroom format. Multi-level classrooms have many benefits both socially and academically. Socially, younger children will look to older students for guidance while the older students organically learn about mentoring, leadership, and collaboration. In addition, students in a multi-grade classroom tend to be less competitive with one another and more cooperative in their learning and behaviors. Academically, this structure allows students to excel while learning at their developmental level.

Mission Statement

Immanuel Lutheran School seeks to be distinctly Christian while empowering our students to be life-long learners and leaders who impact the world for Jesus Christ.

Distinctly Christian.

At Immanuel, we teach the Bible as the infallible, inerrant, and fully-inspired word of God. We believe that Christ alone saves us from our sins by faith through grace. We are blessed to share God’s love with each student and family who walks through our doors. Teachers look for opportunities to talk about God’s law and Gospel throughout the day, not just during Bible classes. Our students learn how much God loves them through weekly chapel services, daily Bible study, and conversations about God’s provision for His people.

Empowering Learners.

Teachers experience one of education’s greatest joys when they see a concept “click” in the mind of a child. While gaining knowledge has value, true value lies in knowing what to do with the acquired information. We place a high value on helping our students to gain wisdom. Students learn how to analyze, collaborate, and question as new information is presented to them. At Immanuel we strive to help students learn how to pursue wisdom, stand confidently in their beliefs, and lead others to God’s truth.

Impacting the World.

Integrated, thematic curriculum makes learning fun and meaningful. Second Step social-emotional learning curriculum leads students in their abilities to get along with peers and developing strong social skills. Handwriting Without Tears activities advance all areas of motor development, in addition to growth in letter and number recognition and formation.

Immanuel Lutheran School seeks to be distinctly Christian while empowering our students to be life-long learners and leaders who impact the world for Jesus Christ. In addition to core subjects such as mathematics, science, and social studies/History, Immanuel Lutheran School offers instruction in Bible, technology with iPads and Chromebooks, music, art, physical education, and library courses for all elementary school students. Students are also engaged in reading, writing including cursive, spelling, and grammar skills on a daily basis.

Business Review

"Ashley B.

I have had my girls at ILS for a little over a year now. After having a hard time finding childcare for my younger daughter, I was thrilled when ILS opened their toddler program.

For anyone with two children, we all know that the second child is a little crazier than the older one. What I love about the toddler program is that they helped my daughter transition into the classroom and were super supportive in helping her adapt and work through some big emotions she was having. As an added bonus, you can download an app where they update you on your child's progress throughout the day.

Since then she has graduated into preschool and is doing much better at recognizing her own behaviors and controlling them. I have worked with just about every teacher in the toddler program, preschool, summer camp, and their after school care program and have truly enjoyed working with all of them. The entire team at ILS is there to help your child thrive, and I can't thank them enough."
