Sponsored Buckhorn Camp
Why Parents Choose Buckhorn Camp
Parents choose Buckhorn Camp & Retreat Center for a summer experience that balances adventure, safety, and personal growth. Nestled in the foothills of the Colorado Rockies, Buckhorn offers a classic overnight camp where kids unplug from screens, connect with nature, and build confidence in a supportive community.
Buckhorn is known for its caring, well-trained counselors who prioritize safety, inclusion, and positive role modeling. Campers are grouped by age, stay in clean, well-maintained cabins, and are guided through activities that encourage cooperation, resilience, and friendship.
Families appreciate Buckhorn’s thoughtfully designed programs—from Mini-Camp options for first-time or younger campers to a Junior Counselor program for teens ready to grow into leadership roles. Each day includes a healthy balance of structured activities and free time, allowing kids to explore new interests while still feeling comfortable and supported.
Parents also value Buckhorn’s healthy, kid-friendly meals, attention to common dietary needs, and intentionally sized sessions that ensure every camper is known and cared for. Many families return year after year because Buckhorn feels like a second home—where children come home happier, more confident, and eager to return.
