We are lucky in the Loveland to have some great dog parks to enjoy with our favorite pups. Dog parks are a great place for our pups to play unleashed and meet new friends! Dog Park at Fairgrounds Park

Address 700 S Railroad Ave, Loveland
Hours Open Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

What we love about the Dog Park at Fairgrounds ParkThis park is a great place to bring your pet to play off-leash. It's fully fenced with separate small dog area, picnic tables, shade, seasonal dog drinking fountains, and pet waste bag dispensers. There is a small and shy dog fenced area. Dogs can go off leash too. Water is available at the park entrance. 





Mehaffey Dog Park

Address 3285 W. 22nd Street Loveland, CO  80537 (South Entrance)
Hours Monday - Sunday 6am - 10:30pm

What we love about Mehaffey Dog Park: A bit small but a great place for dogs to go without their leash. There is a seperate area for small or shy dogs. Water is located at the double entrance for dogs and their humans to stay hydrated.

The Promenade Shops at Centerra 

Address 5971 Sky Pond Dr., Loveland

What we love about Centerra: You can bring your pup shopping at most stores and you can walk the mall area. There are stations for your pup to hydrate. You can eat on patios where your pups are welcome at the restaurants too. Dogs must be leashed. 


Downtown Loveland 

Address Along 4th and 5th streets, Loveland

What we love about Downtown: You can bring your pup and you can walk the area. You can eat on patios where your pups are welcome at the restaurants too. Keep your pups on a leash. 


Lake Loveland & Boyd Lake 

Address Lake Loveland 2750 N. Taft is North Lake Park. Boyd Lake 3720 N County Road 11C. Loveland.

What we love about Loveland: It's a pretty dog friendly place. You can take your pup's almost anywhere on leash and enjoy being with them. 


Chapungu, McWhinney-Hahn, and Benson Sculpture parks  

Address Chapungu Centerra Pkwy, McWhinney-Hahn 5400 Stone Creek Circle,  Benson 1125 W. 29th Street.

What we love about the sculpture parks:  You can take your pup's almost anywhere on leash and enjoy being with them. 


Loveland dog park tips

Follow the rules! Typical dog park rules include:

  • This area is for dogs and their people. No other animals are permitted. 
  • Please keep your dog on a lease when entering and exiting the dog park. 
  • Close the gate behind you.
  • Doge must be vaccinated, licensed, and wear the appropriate tags 
  • If other dogs are in the park, please keep your dog on your lease until you know they are compatible. 
  • Remove your dog from the park at the first sign of aggression. If a person or dog is bitten please contact Larimer County Animal control @ 970-227-3647
  • If your dog is under 4 months old, in heat or sick please bring them another time. 
  • Please clean up after your dog. Pick up other dogs waste if their owner has missed it. 
  • Do not allow your dog to jump on people. You are responsible for any holes or damage your dog creates. 
  • Don't bring food or drinks into the park.
  • Pick up trach you find. 
  • Remember you are using the park at your own risk. Supervise young children and your dog at all times. 

The Dog Park may be closed for maintenance and/or repairs.
