Greeley Recycle:
Greeley and Weld County residents can recycle their real, natural Christmas trees for free from now until January 31. Trees can be dropped off at the Greeley Organic Waste (GROW) Center's new location, 1150 25th Avenue.
Residents must remove decorations and lights from the tree before drop-off. Staff at the center grind up the trees and turn them into compost. Recycling this material helps reduce landfill waste and lowers greenhouse gas emissions.
During winter, the GROW Center is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting. The Center is not open on Christmas Eve, Christmas or New Year’s Day.
