"We love Saint Joseph's preschool program. All four of our kids have attended this program and every experience has been exactly what they needed! Mrs. Randazzo has created a program that is a wonderful introduction to school and a place for them to learn and grow, but most of all have fun! Maryann always came home with a smile! She grew in her knowledge and confidence because ultimately she was known and loved. It is the perfect first school experience and we wouldn't send our kids anywhere else!" -Kristen Balk

It's known as the preschool penthouse and is one of the favorite classrooms at Saint Joseph Catholic School - and for good reason! The expansive space is bright, colorful, and so much fun, with plenty of room to move around and plenty of spaces to explore. It's here where 3- and 4-year-olds get to learn and play.
"We've worked very hard to create a warm and welcoming classroom environment," says Shelly Randazzo, preschool director. "Our students love it!"
Saint Joseph Catholic School offers three early childhood education programs, each designed to provide a positive first experience of learning within a faith-filled, loving context:
Preschool (3-year-olds): 7:45-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday;
Pre-Kindergarten (4-year-olds): 7:45 a.m.-2:45 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; and
Kindergarten (4-5 year-olds): 7:45 a.m.-2:45 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Each program includes components such as faith formation (students do not need to be Catholic to attend), social and emotional development, language arts and literacy, math and science exploration, creative arts, music and theater, technology, beginning Spanish, health, safety, and physical education.

The four-year-olds also attend special activities in the Discovery Lab and Library, participate in weekly Mass, and spend time in the Atrium. "We've worked hard to create an Atrium space as part of our weekly religion class and have implemented the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Early Childhood Curriculum to give our students a unique experience that will help them fall in love with Jesus, the Good Shepherd, right from the start."
Additionally, they participate in the Advent and Spring Music Programs, host a Thanksgiving Play and Tea, and celebrate Mother's Day. They also have "Cougar Buddies," older students who serve as big brothers and sisters throughout the year. "Our pre-kindergarteners love spending time with their Cougar Buddies. It's such a special relationship."
Saint Joseph Catholic School has been recognized as the Best Private School in Fort Collins by the Coloradoan for the past four years. Enrollment is open to all. Call (970) 484-1171 to request a tour and take a closer look, or discover more at GoSaintJoseph.org.
