Publisher's Corner. Take Time To Celebrate Your Successes.

By Melissa Shrader Editor/Publisher Loveland Macaroni KID November 8, 2021

I want to extend a warm thank you to all our subscribers and advertisers as well as all our supporters!

November is a special month for us. Not just because it's a month to be grateful for friends, family, and give back to those who are in need, but it's also a time of reflection. A time to reflect on successes, changes, growth and challenges. It's easy to just keep going everyday but it's important to recognize all the positive changes that have happened. All the positive achievements that have come in the past year(s).

It's important as parents that we take the time to reflect on all the important successes that we have had as well as the successes our children and the family as a whole have achieved. Many times we find the successes of others but we don't recognize our own achievements.

This week, take some time for yourself and write down your personal successes from the past year. Put them on a sticky note and post the note on your mirror. Read them to yourself every morning for a week. Take note of how you feel at the beginning of the week and compare it to how you feel at the end of the week. This exercise is a great confidence booster and a reminder of how important our role is, not only to our family, but to ourselves as well. It's hard for us as parents to give ourselves time and permission to recognize our successes. We as parents tend to focus on the task at hand. The things we still need to "fix" or "get done". We need to take time to celebrate our achievements and be grateful and thankful.

Celebrate the little things and recognize your achievements no matter how large or small they may be.

We are so busy we are looking for an assistant or intern ! If you know of a student who would like to help out with adding events please let them know we would love the help. If you or someone you know is interested please let us know. You can contact me Melissa at melissas@macaronikidcom and put Assistant in the subject.

What are we up to?

As things change with the CDC COVID guidelines and local guidelines events may still be canceled or changed to meet those guidelines. Keep an eye out I will be adding events as quickly as possible. However, If you know of an event or have an event you want to add please feel free to do so. I get notifications of events to approve before they post.
