Find Your Family Fun This Valentine's Week. Storytime & Class Ideas

By Melissa Shrader Editor Publisher Loveland Macaroni Kid February 10, 2019

Welcome To Publishers Corner,

Wow! Are you ready? It's Valentine's day already. Does it seem to you that this year is just flying by? It does to me. There's always something to keep you busy. We have some great ideas for goodie bags at school as well as teacher gifts, Valentines ideas for those who want to stay home or go out - though if you haven't made reservations it might be tough getting a table on Valentines day.

We celebrate Valentines each day of the month till the holiday arrives. We put hearts on our daughter's door with little things that make her special. A short note as to what we are proud of her for, or something she is good at, even things that are just uniquely her. She loves knock knock jokes so we put a little joke on the door from time to time too.

You don't have to do this just at Valentines day. If  your kiddo is having a rough time at school or just in general something is bothering them. A note on the door or under the door can be a pick me up.

We went to the Sweetheart Festival Saturday and saw some wonderful activities.  The igloo of sweet treats was a hit for our daughter! She got a caramel apple and enjoyed it as we hopped from activity to activity.  We took a picture at the Love Lock Sculpture and hung our heart lock, Nailed a pinwheel, painted a tile, strung some string and slid down a slide. Not to mention we watched some little girls and boys be transformed into little cupids and little valentines! The Pinwheels project, painted tiles and String on a heart are community art projects that you will be able to see at various locations as you drive around town (I'll get more definitive locations once they are placed).

Keep an eye out!
