Love is in the air and in Loveland Colorado!
This year marks the 2nd Annual "Say I Do" for couples to get married or renew their vows in this Sweetheart City Event. This wonderful event happens on Valentines day Wednesday February 14th.
Couples gather around Foote Lagoon and take their vows to get married or renew their vows by this picturesque lagoon. The Officiant Todd Harding of K99’s Morning Show will be on stage in the middle of the lagoon and will be surrounded by excited couples ready to wed. The lagoon will be lit by candlelight, and singer-songwriter Braden Sipes will play romantic songs before and after the ceremony.
For those who are interested in getting married or renewing vows here is the important information you need to know:
The exchange of vows (Public wedding) will take place Wednesday February 14th 2018. In order to participate you must get your marriage license if you are not currently married.
Registration for Marriage license must be done prior to the event for those getting married for the first time. License can be obtained through Larimer County. Those renewing their vows don't need to do this. In order for your marriage to be valid you must return the license to the County Clerk & Recorder within 63 days of the ceremony where it will be officially recorded.
Website Registration for the event must be done beforehand online by everyone. Both those who are renewing their vows and those coming to take their vows for the first time are to register onsite at the Gertrude Scott Room in the Loveland LIbrary 300 N Adams Ave., Loveland Co 80537. For those who are taking vows for the first time don't forget to bring your marriage license from Larimer County to the onsite registration between 3-4:30pm on Valentines day at the library. If you are renewing your vow’s there is no need to apply for any special paperwork in advance. Just purchase tickets online ahead of the event and register onsite at 3pm on Valentines day.
Everyone will receive a renewal certificate after the ceremony.
Note: Everyone who is getting married will receive a goodie bag and either a signed license or renewal certificate at the ceremony
The ceremony will commence at 5:30pm at Foote Lagoon Amphitheater at Civic Center Park 500 E 3rd St, Loveland CO 80537 (behind Civic Center Building).
